Accredited by the Romanian College of Physicians with 18 CME credits, this hands-on workshop is dedicated to resident doctors and specialists in general surgery, gynecology, urology, with basic or medium experience in laparoscopic surgery.
During this event, the participants:
- will learn to recognize laparoscopy instruments and will be able to decide what kind of techniques to use;
- will learn to safely institute the pneumoperitoneum;
- will maneuver the camera so that they can offer optimal images;
- will practice the manual of the right hand, but also of the left hand in order to have the correct gestures of: manipulation of the abdominal structures, sharp dissection or bluntness, diathermic coagulation, clipping, sectioning, insertion of drain tubes, extraction of parts;
- will develop the necessary knowledge for the correct use of electrosurgical instruments;
- will learn the simple ways to perform laparoscopic nodes;
- will have knowledge about accidents and incidents during a laparoscopic intervention and the best ways to solve them;
This workshop includes live surgery, theoretical lectures, case discussions, comments, videos, practice on pelvitrainer and on sampled tissues.
At the end of this event you will be more confident in your possibilities and practical skills to apply the basic techniques of laparoscopic surgery and you will be able to start using the minimally invasive approach in your surgical practice.
