Difficult Airway Workshop – Bronchoscopy and Invasive Techniques in Anesthesia and Intensive Care

Under the auspices of RAES | Accredited by the Romanian College of Physicians with 12 CME credits

This intensive hands-on workshop is designed for resident physicians and specialists in Anesthesia and Intensive Care who wish to enhance their practical skills in airway management, including advanced intubation and minimally invasive techniques.

Throughout the event, participants will:
- Practice videolaryngoscopy, including the use of video stylets, bougies, exchangers, and intubation through optical fibroscopy with two operators.
- Master the use of supraglottic devices, including ventilation, SGD-guided intubation, and intubation with flexible fibroscopy through SGD/Aintree techniques.
- Perform intubation through flexible fibroscopy, both oral and nasal, under local anesthesia.
- Learn pulmonary separation techniques and other minimally invasive airway procedures, including cricothyrotomy and percutaneous tracheostomy.

The program combines:
- Theoretical lectures on airway management principles and safety
- Live procedure demonstrations and video presentations
- Case-based discussions with expert commentary
- Hands-on practical exercises on models and functional tissues, supervised by faculty

By the end of the workshop, participants will:
- Gain confidence in performing advanced airway management procedures.
- Strengthen both theoretical knowledge and manual skills for safe intubation, fibroscopy, and minimally invasive airway interventions.
- Be able to integrate these techniques into routine clinical practice, improving patient safety and procedural efficiency.
