Interventional Techniques in Digestive Endoscopy


Period: 21.02.2019 - 22.02.2019

The event, accredited by the Romanian College of Physicians, is addressed to resident physicians and specialists in general surgery and gastroenterology, with little or medium experience in interventional endoscopy. At the same time, nurses may register at a similar workshop, accredited by the General Nurses, Midwives and Nurses Order in Romania.

This workshop comprises theoretical lectures, practice on POP-trainer (on stomach and colon taken from pig) and practice on functional tissues.

During the two days, the attendants:

- will practice the haemostasis techniques by submucosal injection, the application of metal clips, using argon plasma;

- will practice the polypectomy techniques;

- will practice the endoscopic submucosal dissection techniques;

- will practice the techniques for closing the accidental perforations with the OVESCO clip;

- will practice the techniques for pneumatic dilatation of digestive stenoses;

- will acquire the necessary knowledge for the correct use of electrosurgical instruments;

- will acquire the necessary knowledge for the safe administration of superficial sedation during endoscopy;

- will learn about the accidents and incidents that may occur during endoscopic interventions, as well as the best modalities to resolve them;

At the end of this workshop you will be more confident in your possibilities and your practical skills concerning the application of endoscopic interventional techniques.

The number of possible attendants is limited to 18.

The attendance fee for physicians is 350 euros for ARCE members / 450 euros for non-members, and for nurses it is 500 lei.
