Throughout the course, participants will:
- learn the principles of laparoscopic surgery, including the fundamentals of laparoscopic imaging, ergonomics, operating room safety, as well as basic knowledge of laparoscopic equipment and the safe use of surgical energy;
- receive training in the safe creation of pneumoperitoneum;
- develop camera navigation skills to ensure optimal intraoperative visualization;
- acquire and practice essential laparoscopic techniques such as object grasping and manipulation, bimanual coordination, hand–eye coordination, dissection, cutting, clipping, use of endo-loops and endo-bags, insertion and extraction of materials, tissue handling, laparoscopic needle handling, suturing, and knot tying;
- gain insight into the principles of teamwork and communication in the operating room;

The course includes a limited number of theoretical lectures, video sessions, and case discussions, but its primary focus is intensive hands-on training under the direct supervision of the faculty, led by EAES expert Assoc. Prof. Marek Soltes, MD, PhD, Hon. FEBS/MIS.
By the end of the course, participants will feel more confident in initiating their careers in minimally invasive surgery, having mastered the foundational skills required. The program concludes with an assessment module in which participants' newly acquired skills are evaluated against validated performance benchmarks.
